About
Dustin Alexander Bolton
Since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2004, Dustin Bolton has produced work across a range of media and themes. Dustin’s first animated short Late Summer Psalm, screened at the 2005 Pawtucket Film Fest, tells the story of a boy’s life on a farm, his mule, and his father’s struggle with addiction.
After two years as a staff animator for Cartoon Network’s “Stroker and Hoop” and “Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law,” Dustin launched his own animation and media company, Dualbo, Inc. His independent work has included collaborating with New York writer and comedian Jordan Carlos on projects for Latchkey Entertainment as well as animating segments for Cartoon Network’s “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends” and “Mini Cooper.”
Based in Atlanta, Dustin actively promotes the involvement of creative professionals in socially responsible endeavors. His 2005 work included visual development for Katrina Browne’s award winning documentary, Traces of the Trade: A Story From the Deep North. In 2008 he illustrated advocacy materials for the New York Civil Liberties Union’s School to Prison Pipeline Project, a campaign that works to end the criminalization of students in New York City schools. Currently, Dustin is developing an educational enrichment program that bridges technology and the arts through animation with Atlanta’s Finding Empowerment Through Education Foundation and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
