Character Animation

Character animation is a specialized area of the animation process concerning the animation of one or more characters featured in an animated work. It is usually as one aspect of a larger production and often made to complement voice acting. Character animation is artistically unique from other animation in that it involves the creation of apparent thought and emotion in addition to physical action.

Clip reel from Adult Swim’s Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law

A series of Choice Clips from whole segments of shots I animated for Cartoon Network’s Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. Total animation quota for Harvey was 20-30 finished seconds per week. The animation was timed for 2s and drawn frame by frame using Adobe Flash as a 2D digital light table. The experience on this series allowed me to develop a snappier sense of timing and work with full pose to pose animation on human forms.
